Class Experience
Ignite curiosity and creativity with science, engineering, and fun experiments!
In this exciting camp, young scientists will explore the mechanics of motion and chemistry through hands-on activities. Campers will design and test catapults, launch mini cannons, and dive into colorful chemical reactions. Each day blends STEAM challenges, creative projects, and outdoor play, sparking a love of discovery. Every camper receives a camp t-shirt to commemorate their explosive week of learning!
Notes
Note: Although camp will be offered a full week, we will have modified hours in observance of the federal holiday, Juneteenth (19) and 20th from 9am -12pm. And extended day will be unavailable.
Sample Class Format
Camp Hours
Standard Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Extended Day Option:
Drop-off as early as 7:30 AM
Pick-up until 5:30 PM
Constructive activities during extended hours include LEGO challenges, puzzles, and free play in the Discovery Zones.
Daily Schedule
- 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Morning STEM Warm-Up (fun facts and games related to the day’s theme)
- 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: STEAM Challenge
- Monday: Build and test mini catapults.
- Tuesday: Design and launch mini cannons using safe materials.
- Wednesday: Explore chemical reactions to power balloon rockets.
- Thursday: Create chain reactions with simple machines
Friday: Combine skills for an epic group launch and reaction showcase.
- 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Snack Break & Science Trivia
- 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Discovery Zone Activities
- Lite-Brite Wall: Explore patterns and designs.
- LEGO Wall: Build structures and launch platforms.
- RC Tonka Pit: Experiment with motion and trajectories.
- Rigamajig Engineering Set: Create and test movable designs.
- 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: Lunch Break
- 12:30 PM – 1:15 PM: Chemistry Lab (colorful experiments like making slime or fizzing volcanoes)
- 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM: Special Weekly Activity
- Monday: Pop Jet Splash Pad and Gaga Ball
- Tuesday: Movie Day at Cinebistro Summer Film Fest
- Wednesday: Pop Jet Splash Pad and Outdoor Play
- Thursday: Outdoor Games and Challenges with the Outdoor Game Bag
- Friday: Outdoor Games and End-of-Week Launch & Chemistry Celebration
2:15 PM – 3:15 PM: Wrap-Up & Showcase (reflect on projects and share highlights)
3:15 PM – 3:30 PM: Pick-Up for Standard Hours
Extended Day Activities (3:30 PM – 5:30 PM)
During extended hours, campers will engage in constructive activities like:
- Creative building challenges (e.g., design a new catapult or cannon)
- Chemistry-themed art projects (e.g., painting with fizzing reactions)
- Puzzles and games in the Discovery Zones
- Quiet reflection or reading space
Special Features

Weekly Highlights:
- Tuesday Movie Days: Enjoy a fun film at Cinebistro Summer Film Fest.

- Thursday & Friday Outdoor Games: Gaga Ball and engaging outdoor challenges.
Camp T-Shirt: Each camper receives a custom camp t-shirt to remember their exciting week.
