Class Experience
Explore the electrifying world of circuits and Hexbug robotics!
In this fun and interactive camp, young learners will dive into the basics of electricity and robotics. Campers will build simple circuits, create light-up crafts, and experiment with Hexbug nano bots to explore motion and engineering principles. Each day blends hands-on projects, creative play, and teamwork, inspiring curiosity and problem-solving skills. Every camper will receive a custom camp t-shirt to celebrate their exciting week of discovery!

Note: This is a 4-day week in observance of July 4, 2025.
Sample Class Format
Camp Hours
Standard Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Extended Day Option:
Drop-off as early as 7:30 AM
Pick-up until 5:30 PM
Constructive activities during extended hours include LEGO challenges, puzzles, and Hexbug free play.
Daily Schedule
- 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Morning STEM Warm-Up (fun facts and trivia about circuits and robotics)
- 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: STEAM Challenge
Monday: Build simple circuits with batteries and LED lights.
Tuesday: Explore conductivity with playdough and circuit designs.
Wednesday: Create light-up crafts like glowing cards or bookmarks.
Thursday: Experiment with Hexbug nano bots, creating tracks and mazes.
Friday: Combine circuits and Hexbugs in a collaborative group project or obstacle course.
- 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Snack Break & STEM Stories
- 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Discovery Zone Activities
Lite-Brite Wall: Explore light and color combinations.
LEGO Wall: Build structures for Hexbugs or LED decorations.
RC Tonka Pit: Experiment with motion and tracks.
Rigamajig Engineering Set: Create Hexbug arenas and pathways.
- 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: Lunch Break
- 12:30 PM – 1:15 PM: Robotics Design Challenge
Design and decorate tracks or mazes for Hexbug races.
- 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM: Special Weekly Activity
Monday: Pop Jet Splash Pad and Gaga Ball
Tuesday: Movie Day at Cinebistro Summer Film Fest
Wednesday: Pop Jet Splash Pad and Outdoor Play
Thursday: Outdoor Games and Challenges with the Outdoor Game Bag
Friday: Outdoor Games and Hexbug Grand Prix & Circuit Showcase
- 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM: Wrap-Up & Presentation (reflect on projects and share creations)
- 3:15 PM – 3:30 PM: Pick-Up for Standard Hours
Extended Day Activities (3:30 PM – 5:30 PM)
During extended hours, campers will engage in constructive activities like:
- Circuit puzzles and challenges
- Hexbug free play and obstacle design
- Art and craft projects with LED lights
- Quiet reflection or reading space

- Hands-On Learning: Build circuits and create with Hexbug nano bots.
- Creative Engineering: Design tracks, mazes, and collaborative projects combining circuits and robotics.
Weekly Highlights:
- Tuesday Movie Days: Enjoy a fun film at Cinebistro Summer Film Fest.
- Monday & Wednesday Splash Pad: Cool off and play at the Stony Point Pop Jet area.
- Thursday & Friday Outdoor Games: Gaga Ball and engaging outdoor challenges.
Camp T-Shirt: Each camper receives a custom camp t-shirt to commemorate their innovative week.
