This exciting program combines all 11 specialty camps into an engaging and diverse summer adventure. Each week, campers will dive into hands-on STEAM activities, creative challenges, and collaborative projects designed to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and fun.

Camp Highlights by Week
- Week 1: Space Tech Trek
Build and launch mini rockets.
Design and take home a Mars Rover.
Enjoy pop jet splash pad and movie days.
- Week 2: Math in Motion
Construct marble runs and domino trails.
Explore motion and symmetry through hands-on activities.
End the week with collaborative marble and domino creations.
- Week 3: Catapults, Cannons, and Chemistry
Build and launch mini catapults and safe cannons.
Create colorful chemical reactions and fizzing experiments.
Combine skills for a grand launch and reaction showcase.
- Week 4: Chess Basics or Chess Tactics
Learn the fundamentals or sharpen tactical skills.
Solve puzzles and compete in guided matches.
Celebrate with a chess tournament at week’s end.
- Week 5: Circuits and Nano Bots
Build simple circuits and light-up crafts.
Explore and race Hexbug nano bots.
Create collaborative tracks and showcase designs.
- Week 6: Design Lab: LEGO City – Foundations
Learn about city planning and design streets, foundations, and parks.
Build landmarks and infrastructure like bridges and skyscrapers.
Work collaboratively to create a vibrant LEGO city foundation for display.
- Week 7: Design Lab: LEGO City – Motion & Growth
Add moving elements like LEGO vehicles and interactive features.
Expand the city with zones (residential, commercial, and industrial).
Showcase the completed LEGO City masterpiece in a grand presentation.
- Week 8: Code Name: Drone
Assemble, personalize, and fly mini drones.
Program flight paths and test obstacle courses.
Participate in the Drone Grand Prix.
- Week 9: Maps and Coding
Design treasure maps and program navigation paths.
Combine map-making with coding challenges.
Showcase a collaborative map and coded route.
- Week 10: Engineering Inspired by Minecraft
Build bridges, towers, and sustainable designs inspired by Minecraft.
Enjoy daily Minecraft Hour to share tips and collaborate.
Combine creations in an engineering showcase.
- Week 11: I Survived: Graphic Novel Challenge
Solve survival challenges inspired by I Survived.
Create earthquake-proof structures and tornado simulations.
Take home an I Survived graphic novel box set.

Discovery Center at Stony Point (Discovery Chess, LLC) established in March 2021 by Rhonda Adorno, has quickly emerged as a leader in chess and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education in the Greater Richmond area.
