Class Experience

Step into the thrilling world of math as you discover the secrets behind your favorite amusement park rides in Math Thrill Ride! Teens will explore the Fibonacci sequence, geometric patterns, and physics concepts that make Ferris wheels, roller coasters, and other rides come to life. Through hands-on activities and creative problem-solving, campers will apply mathematical principles to design their own thrilling rides.

This camp is designed to make math exciting, accessible, and fun for teens, combining real-world applications with imaginative projects to keep campers smiling all week long.

Key Activities

  • Fibonacci Fun: Learn how this famous sequence influences art, nature, and engineering.

  • Ferris Wheel Geometry: Explore the math behind circular motion and create your own designs.

  • Physics of Rides: Investigate how forces like gravity, momentum, and centripetal force power amusement park rides.

  • Build and Design: Use math to construct working models of thrilling rides.

Notes

A full day of camp for teens is 8:30am - 3:30pm. We strive not to over schedule this age group so if extended day is needed, we will ensure there are age appropriate options in our Discovery Zones that can be more interesting than smart phones, but phones are welcome provided they can be put away during core camp experiences.
