Unleash your creative energy with STEAM: Art in Motion! This week is all about blending art and science to create dynamic, hands-on projects. Swing into pendulum art, bring drawings to life with Pixicade game creation, capture cool photos, and dive into the world of stop-motion and green screen magic. Perfect for teens who want to experiment, innovate, and see their ideas in action.

Notes
A full day of camp for teens is 8:30am - 3:30pm. We strive not to over schedule this age group so if extended day is needed, we will ensure there are age appropriate options in our Discovery Zones that can be more interesting than smart phones, but phones are welcome provided they can be put away during core camp experiences.
Sample Class Format
- 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Creative Warm-Up
Start each day with fun brainstorming activities, quick sketches, or color experiments to spark your imagination.
- 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Art in Action
Monday: Learn pendulum art techniques and create your first masterpiece.
Tuesday: Dive into Pixicade, drawing and designing your very own video game elements.
Wednesday: Explore photography basics and capture creative shots.
Thursday: Start your stop-motion animation project using props and sets.
Friday: Master green screen effects to enhance your animations and photos.
- 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Snack & Social Break
Take a break to refuel and share your ideas (or snacks) with fellow campers.
- 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Hands-On STEAM Challenges
Monday: Create pendulum art pieces with vibrant patterns and colors.
Tuesday: Use Pixicade to turn your drawings into interactive games. Play and test your creations.
Wednesday: Experiment with lighting and editing techniques for creative photos.
Thursday: Film and refine your stop-motion animation.
Friday: Combine your green screen skills with animations for an epic final project.

- 12:30 PM – 1:15 PM: Discovery Zone Exploration

Focus on completing your week-long project, whether it’s a stop-motion film, a green screen photo series, Pixicade video game, or pendulum art exhibit.
- 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM: Art in Motion Showcase Prep
Prepare your projects for the end-of-week showcase. Add final touches, rehearse your presentation, or brainstorm a quirky artist statement.
- 3:15 PM – 3:30 PM: Reflection & Wrap-Up
Wrap up the day by sharing highlights, giving shoutouts to your fellow artists, or simply admiring your work.
