Loved:
The instructor, Gu, is great! Gives general advice but also helps people individually with throwing. Creates goals with people on what they want to create and gives pointers on how to reach them.

Loved:
It was a fun and relaxing first trial for clay wheel throwing.
Improvements:
This is not easy for a beginner and instructors need to spend more one on one time for a beginner to make something. With only one instructor, one on one time is not adequate. Also, at the end of the class, students are required to wash their workstation pieces in freezing cold water. For the price of the class, it didn't feel right. Happy to help but either use warm water or let the students leave on a high note and higher someone to clean up.

My class with Gu has been amazing mainly because Gu has foster a cute little community! Though I came in with some experience, I still learned a lot from her. She’s a 10/10 would recommend!
Improvements:
Though the instructor in doclay are amazing, I’ve had a mixed bag of experience with the glazes. The variety of glazes are nice but not being able to see how each glaze reacts with one another left me experimenting a lot. I’ve encounter so many glaze issues and it sucks to have to fix them often, mixing glaze or not. I think the staff needs to be harder on the students and members leaving the space clean as well…

the class was great! Zoya is great at teaching and I can tell she has a lot of background knowledge & expertise with the ins and outs of the ceramics process. She makes class fun and I enjoy learning from her! My goal coming into this class was to make jars, and she helped me succeed in that :)
Improvements:
Studio feedback- • Water is so cold! Can we turn up the heat? It makes people rush through the cleaning process, since the temperature is unbearable. Why is the water cold in winter, but hot in summer?? :( • Doclay used to offer a wide variety of special topics classes and I’m sad to see those decrease. I’d love if there were more offerings going forward! • The clay has been really short lately and gives a weird texture with the walls • Please refill the underglaze cart!!:)
