Class Experience
Book Builders: Crafting Kids’ Books
Booklovers unite in this fun week of bookmaking! We'll create:
- Accordion Books
- DIY Zines
- Pop Up Books
Does your kid love making art, getting messy and exploring their creative side? Get them enrolled in our ART CAMP!
Kids age 5-10 will explore weekly themes, working on individual and collaborative artwork. We'll spend 3 hours drawing, painting, sculpting, building, printing and more!
Sign up for one day, one week or the whole summer!
Camp will run 9am-12pm (with optional early at 8:30am), Monday through Thursday.
Two Private Picassos’ Art Teachers will lead each camp.
Weekly Themes include:
7/7-7/10 Creative Creations: Sculptures with clay, paper and recycled wonders
7/14-7/17 Girls Who Create: Exploring Women in Art
7/21-7/24 Art on a Plate: Creative Food Crafted by Hand
7/28-7/31 Brushes & Masterpieces: Exploring Painting Techniques
8/4-8/7 Book Builders: Crafting Kids’ Books
8/11-8/14 Tiny House Creation: Building the Mini House of your Dreams
8/18-8/21 Make your own Stuffy: From Sketching to Snuggles

Campers should come dressed for a mess with a water bottle and nut free snack.

Sample Schedule:
- 9am drop off
- 9-9:30am Free Art Time
- 9:30-10:30am Art Class 1
- 10:30-10:45am Snack
- 10:45-11:30am Art Class 2
- 11:30am-12pm Free Art Time
- 12pm Pick Up
Other Things To Know
Requests for camp cancellations/changes must be made at least 2 weeks in advance via email. Credit will be issued for cancellations that are made within this time period. In the event of sickness, you can make up in a similar camp.

Private Picassos is an art studio for kids. We offer classes, camps, parties and drop-ins at our two Brooklyn Studios in Park Slope and Clinton Hill.
We also offer art and cultural experiences for kids & adults at schools, businesses and student's homes throughout NYC.
