CLASS DESCRIPTION
This is the start to your Vagabond on camera journey. In Unit 1 you will get introduced to the Vagabond On Camera Technique. Our technique was designed to give you tangible and easily implemented tools when working with the camera. In this unit there you will work with commercial and tv material. For commercials we cover commercials with no lines (the hardest thing to do), one line commercials and two person commercials.
Once we move to TV/Film, we cover auditioning for small roles with one liners and under 5 lines (day player/costar roles). Here you will learn our unique approach to finding subtlety, grounding your performance, and engaging with the camera.
You’ll work on-camera every day of the class and receive notes from your instructor. You’ll also gain valuable insights as you watch your classmates work and build your skills by hearing their notes as well.
Proof of vaccination is required for all in-person classes. You will be required to upload an image at checkout in order to complete registration. For more information regarding this policy please visit our POLICY PAGE . Reach out to info@vagabondschool.com with any questions. Vagabond also reserves the right to pivot to exclusively online participation at any time to ensure the safety of our staff, teachers and students.
**A note on our waitlists: If a class is sold out, we HIGHLY recommend you join the waitlist. Folks on the waitlist get in all the time to classes. Additionally, if we have the demand, we might open up additional sections of a class and the waitlist always gets first dibs on those. Waitlists work!

Loved:
Big fan on Ed Kross’ attention to technique in a current market of self tapes. I have found my own submissions to auditions feeling much stronger, with a focus and a knowledge for approach that I didn’t have before taking this level 1 On-Camera class.

Loved:
Students have ample time on camera and are given immediate feedback and opp to put into practice with additional "takes". Instructor expects students to be prepared which ultimately helps other students when in scenes together. Instructor expects students to be on time and prepared out of respect to all involved.
Improvements:
I suggest more comfortable folding chairs for students when budget allows. I would also suggest signage or a folding sign on the sidewalk if the city allows.
