Morning: Clay Creations
Get ready for a fun, hands-on clay adventure! This camp focuses on sculpting and building with clay, where kids will learn the basics of pinch pots, coils, and slabs to create their very own mixed-up menagerie of clay animals, cups, and boxes. Want to make a critter-headed cup or a bird-shaped box? You’ve got it! The possibilities are endless as kids invent and sculpt their own creative creatures and functional pottery. They’ll be guided step-by-step through the process, from shaping their clay pieces to using the score and slip technique to join different parts together.
Afternoon: Kids Art Explorations
After a morning full of clay fun, campers will dive into a world of artistic exploration in the afternoon! This session is all about creativity without boundaries. Each day, kids will experiment with different art materials and techniques, from painting and drawing to mixed-media projects and sculpture. They’ll discover how to create works of art using everything from paper and paint to found objects and fabric. The focus is on process over product, allowing campers to unleash their imaginations and explore new ways of expressing themselves.
What to Expect:
-
Morning: Build clay animals, cups, and boxes using pinch, coil, and slab techniques -
