Mike Molina lives and writes in Baltimore by way of his hometown New Orleans. Mike's performance readings of his original works from The Misbelief Tree, No Such Thing as a Slave, and the forthcoming Emergence blend narrative, rhymed free verse poetry, and song.
Mike is also the Assistant Head of School for Community, Inclusion, and Equity at Gilman School.

I love Genie so much. She strikes a perfect balance between giving advice but also giving you freedom to go where you wish. She supports and encourages you, and then she backs off. And if you happen to go a different way than you were expecting with your art, she always supports where you chose to go, and helps you work through struggles, allowing you to remain true to yourself while also improving your work. I really love her teaching style - directive but not too directive. She's wonderful!
