Class Experience
Calling all young creators aged 8-11! Our Young Woodcrafters Workshop at MakeInspires Makerspace is a gateway to the enchanting world of woodworking. In this hands-on class, your child will embark on a journey of imagination, learning and crafting with wood.
What They'll Create:
Wooden Toys: From charming puzzles to delightful figurines, kids will craft their own playful wooden toys, sparking their creativity and fine motor skills.
Personalized Nameplates: Imagine your child's name elegantly carved in wood! They will design and create personalized nameplates, adding a touch of craftsmanship to their space.
Mini Plant Stands: Kids will learn the basics of construction while making mini plant stands, fostering a love for both nature and woodworking.
Creative Bookends: Encourage a love for reading by crafting unique bookends. Your child will design and build their bookends, making reading spaces more enchanting.
Other Things To Know
Registrations are non-refundable. Credit for missed classes or workshops will be offered if notice is given on or before the same day. No credits for late requests.
What To Bring
- All essential woodworking materials and tools provided.

The location was bright & spacious.
Improvements:
My child didn’t learn much. Would be nice if he learned about 3D printing or how it’s done. It seemed like he just played on a computer.

We’re glad you enjoyed the space. Tinkercad can feel like play, and it teaches key aspects of 3D design. The designs will be 3D printed and ready for pickup within a week. When you stop by, we’d be happy to discuss the process. Workshops provide an introduction, while our weekly enrollments dive deeper over 10 weeks.
