Class Experience
In Drawing Club we’ll learn about both traditional and unconventional ways of drawing. Students will advance their representational skills, but also gain a more diverse understanding of what drawing and painting can be. We’ll work big and we’ll work small with many different drawing and painting media. This is a great course to continue with us, as projects will be varied from previous semesters and skill development will be customized to the group. Best for 2nd- 4th graders who are serious about acquiring new art skills and understanding- we make it fun, but we don't do much free play or choice time in this class.
Notes
Location: SOUTH ORANGE: The studio is located at 165 Valley Street Unit B in South Orange. Street parking is available on Valley Street and a public parking garage is connected to the building on Third Street across from Sloan Street. Please be mindful that Valley Street is a very well traveled road and keep your child at arm's length as you approach the studio. MONTCLAIR: Our Montclair studio is located at 237 Lorraine Avenue in Upper Montclair. Parking is available in the lot behind our storefront as well as the paid town lot across the street. Please enter through the front left hand door.
Attire: We do often get messy and colorful. Please dress for messiness.

My son, Gregory said that it was so interesting and fun! He loved being able to use a really long paint brush to draw. He also loved using his hands directly on paint.
