Class Experience
The Sound of Music is an Audition-Only Production for ages 11-21. Not everyone who auditions will receive a role. We are looking to cast between 30-40 performers. Please keep in mind that we will cast based on who demonstrates at auditions an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Here at Haven, we take the teamwork aspect of theatre very seriously, and do not tolerate drops due to dissatisfaction with casting. Please note that once a student auditions, they are committed to be in the show, regardless of their role. Students who drop after their audition will still be charged tuition in full.
Tuition (New Structure):
A $250 deposit is due at the time of audition registration. At this time, registrants will also be automatically enrolled in our new monthly billing plan. This plan consists of three, automatically billed, monthly payments of $250 on the 1st of May, June, and July.

In order to participate, students must be available for ALL the rehearsal time slots below. Weekly call times will vary based on role. Students should expect to attend a minimum of either a weekly Tuesday or Thursday and will be called most Saturdays. Leads may be called more frequently.

Cast List:
The cast list will be emailed out by Saturday evening, April 26th.
If you are cast, congrats! You are good to go, and we’ll see you at our first rehearsal on Thursday 5/1. A reminder that students who drop after the cast list goes out will still be charged tuition in-full. If you are not cast, your $250 deposit will be automatically refunded on Monday 4/28.
REFUND POLICY:
Here at Haven, we take the teamwork aspect of theatre very seriously, and do not tolerate drops due to dissatisfaction with casting. We do not offer refunds after auditions. Please note that, once a student auditions, they are committed to be in the show, regardless of their role. Students who drop after auditions begin on 4/22 will continue to be charged $250 monthly using the credit card on file on the 1st of each month until tuition is paid in full.
Scholarship students who choose to withdraw from the production after casting will not be considered eligible for future scholarship.
Due to a limited number of enrollment spaces, and our tailored curriculum, we ask that our Haven Families partner with us in our refund policy.
Notes
Refund Exception Commitment Form:
If you are a High School Senior or College student you may fill out this Refund Exception Commitment Form. This form will allow you to state up front which roles you are interested in playing. If you are not cast in one of your pre-selected preferred roles, we will refund your deposit. If you ARE cast in one of your preferred roles and you drop after you audition, you will NOT receive a refund and will still be responsible for your full tuition. This form must be submitted BEFORE auditioning on 4/22 or 4/24. No late forms will be accepted.
Please be reminded that requesting a role does not guarantee you will be considered for the role, and you may risk not being cast at all should you decide to only audition for a specific role(s).
