Class Experience
In this class, artists ages 6- 8 will engage in various processes of printmaking. We'll create various types of printing plates as we explore stamping, monoprinting, collograph and block printing. Artists will learn about making art with complex layers and creating repeatable images. Sure to be dynamic and filled with joyful artistic learning.
Notes
Location: SOUTH ORANGE: The studio is located at 165 Valley Street Unit B in South Orange. Street parking is available on Valley Street and a public parking garage is connected to the building on Third Street across from Sloan Street. Please be mindful that Valley Street is a very well traveled road and keep your child at arm's length as you approach the studio. MONTCLAIR: Our Montclair studio is located at 237 Lorraine Avenue in Upper Montclair. Parking is available in the lot behind our storefront as well as the paid town lot across the street. Please enter through the front left hand door.
Please dress for messy materials, and we may be using paints/inks that are not washable.

Sample Class Format
- Children are welcomed into the studio with a selection of open choice stations- our young artists love this part. This 15 minutes is a great time for children to warm up, socialize, explore various materials, and PLAY!
- We will meet for a circle, discussion, and demonstration of the day's art process.
- Artists will then work independently on the project.
- Often when we complete a project, we'll have an Art Show, a time to share our work and reflect.
