Art Play (Spring 2025)

Art Play is a caregiver + child process art class for toddler and preschool aged children (2 - 4). This is a child-led class, meaning that rather than having a teacher guide you through the class, you will follow your child's lead and timing to explore the stations and projects. You will be welcomed into a joyful, casual, and creative environment by Ms. Katie, Ms. Sammy, or Ms. Brittany.  We will be there to help explain the stations, and take care of any needs that arise. This is a great class to bring a friend, or make a friend (yes, even you parents!). You can stay for 30 or 45 minutes, or the whole hour. We always end our class with some fun bubble time! 

No Classes on Monday May 26th (Memorial Day).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Make-Up Week:

If you are absent for a class and cannot come to another Art Play class that same week, you can join Make-Up week at the end of the session. Make Up Dates are: June 2nd, 4th, and 6th.

Can I bring a younger sibling? EFFECTIVE APRIL 2025: I regret that can no longer allow younger siblings anymore. Unless they are younger than 6 months and remain in a carrier during the entire the class. I know this rule may seem strict, however it is dangerous for babies who are crawling and potentially putting chokable things in their mouth to be at the studio. It is often hard to focus on the registered child's needs with a younger sibling in tow. Please understand that this new rule is in the best interest of the studio, and everyone else registered in the class.

What should my kid wear? Our paint may not come out of clothes or shoes, so please dress them in clothes you do not care about getting ruined. We provide aprons, but many kids don't want to wear them.

Can my 5 year old join? If you 5 year old that has high sensory needs, the yes! Many kids when they are an older 4/5 year old grow out of this class, but some don't. You know your kid best! If they love action and sensory play, they will likely have fun in this class. We have a Pre-K class that is more art focused if your child seems like they are ready to focus on art for longer periods of time. 

Cancellation Policy: 

We can offer a refund within 5 days of the class start date.  Beyond that, we cannot offer refunds. If you miss a class, we can do our best to reschedule to another Art Play class that week, or on Make-Up week (read below). Rescheduling is NOT guaranteed. Please keep in mind, this is a very generous cancellation policy in the art world.

Allergies: If your child has as severe allergy to wheat, oats, lentils, rice, beans (with the exception of playdough, all of these things are used dry and uncooked) or anything else commonly used in sensory play, please send me and email in advance so we can avoid using it in the class you attend. There is a spot on the form to list allergies, but it is helpful to also bring attention to the allergy to me via email.
