Class Experience

Take time for yourself while your kids dive into a full week of creativity and fun at our Summer Camp! 


Theme: Color Explosion

Dive into the world of color with dynamic projects that explore color theory, mixing, and bold designs. Students will learn how to express emotion, movement, and energy using vibrant palettes with a focus on painting and printmaking techniques.

  • Please pack a water bottle, lunch, and snacks for your child. A water refill station is available onsite.

Sierra is the best! She has designed outstanding curriculum that is immediately applicable to the classroom, and I would venture to say, beyond. I have take 3 of the professional development workshops so far and hope to complete the series in the coming months.

Meet your Instructors

Laurie E.

Laurie specializes in traditional mediums, drawing inspiration from real-life experiences. Her personal work balances both figurative and abstract elements. With over seven years of experience as an art educator, she has worked with students of all ages, creating a safe space where creativity can flourish. As the Sun Room Studio Manager, she manages all the curriculum for our youth classes and designs our front studio murals. She holds a BFA from The Laguna College of Art and Design.

Kristina S.

Kristina is dedicated to creating wonderful user experiences in the arts, encouraging youth creativity, and preserving folk art & craft. She graduated from UCSD with a B.A. in Studio Art and a B.A. in Art History, Theory, & Criticism. As Community Programs Coordinator, Kristina develops new programming, teaches teen programs, and helps run community workshops at ArtReach Studio HQ. When she’s not at ArtReach, she enjoys gardening, trying new restaurants, and going on backpacking trips.

Yasmine K.

Yasmine is an American-Egyptian Muslim mixed media artist creating works that focus on the perception of identity in a transcultural atmosphere, reflections of personal history, and remarks on social stigma. Her art and teaching center around telling stories from her life and helping others tell theirs. She has taught UCSD Grossmont community college in addition to her work with ArtReach. She holds a BFA in Sculpture from Indiana University and an MFA in Visual Arts from UCSD.
