Embark on a creative journey with our Wheel Throwing and Hand Building Ceramics Art Camp, designed for artists of all levels. This multi-day camp focuses on building fundamental skills in both wheel throwing and hand-building techniques, offering a comprehensive ceramics experience.
Camp Highlights:

Wheel Throwing Techniques: Learn the essentials of wheel throwing, including centering, pulling, and shaping clay on the pottery wheel to create functional and decorative pieces. -
Hand-Building Methods: Explore traditional hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab construction to craft unique ceramic forms. -
Underglazing and Surface Decoration: Discover various underglazing techniques to add color and intricate designs to your creations before the final glaze firing. -
Glazing and Firing: All finished pieces will be professionally glazed and fired, ensuring they are both beautiful and durable. Completed works will be available for pickup 3-4 weeks after the camp session concludes.
Our experienced instructors provide personalized guidance, ensuring that both beginners and advanced artists develop their skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.

CAMP REGISTRATIONS ARE FINAL. No refunds or make-up days for missed camps. Registrations can be transferred to a different camp week during the current session, for the same artist, with a minimum of 7 days notice, space permitting.

About Viridian Art
Our studio believes in a traditional art education that is both challenging and exciting. Our goal is to give our students the skills to become independent artists. Our instructors will act as mentors, creating a personal relationship with each student, guiding them on their own individual artistic journey. In our studio classes, you will learn techniques in charcoal, pastels, acrylics, and oil paints. Working primarily from photographs and still life. Building skills in sketching, composition, value & shading, color mixing & matching, and how to create a finished work of art.
