Class Experience
We invite PS 20 students to join the Language and Laughter Studio for fun, active and engaging weekly French Classes every Monday afternoon.
Students will dive into a world of fun, and academic enrichment as they continue on their journey of language exploration. Led entirely in French, our dynamic sessions will feature immersive activities in the arts, literature, cooperative games and student led projects. Designed to promote language fluency and vocabulary expansion in a vibrant and supportive environment, our classes promise an enriching experience for young learners from 4 to 7 yrs old.
This course aims to foster confidence in speaking, reading, and writing through dynamic and applicable methods. Engaging language activities are employed to infuse enjoyment and fluidity into French conversation. Grammar is imparted alongside vocabulary acquisition through tailor-made projects that align with the diverse interests and learning preferences of all participants.

Fall Semester 11 classes - $660
Mondays: September 23rd, Oct 30, Oct 7, Oct 21, Oct 28th, Nov 4th, Nov 18th, Nov 25th, Dec 2nd, Dec 9th, Dec 16th
Minimum of 6 children enrolled for the class to run.

Improvements:
Hoping next year that the camp can go till at least 5pm, with the afternoons spent at the new indoor location. 2.30pm is too short of a day. We won't be able to do it next year if it still ends at 2.30pm.

It's outdoors when weather permits. My child picked up a lot of new french as there are many francophone children and great instructors.
Improvements:
Extending the day by 30 minutes (to 3pm) or perhaps even later.

My daughter loves this class. She loves reading the books and creating art based on the stories. It’s a great creative outlet while practicing reading and speaking in French.

About The Language and Laughter Studio
LLS is a French language center and French immersion pre-school located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, New York. Since 2006 we have been leaders in progressive language education centered in arts integration, imagination, child-driven projects, and play-based learning. The Language and Laughter Studio is a place not only for our children to participate and enjoy language and culture, but a place for us to come together as a community and bring to life the heritage of our extended cultures. Learning language is not just about speaking, but about connecting to the cultures and traditions they come from.
