Introduction to Drawing with Valerie Isaacs

This class will introduce the basic skills you need to start drawing. Contour drawing sharpens your powers of observation and helps you understand volume and character. Seeing through a grid relates 3-dimensional space to 2-dimensional paper. Observation of positive and negative shapes helps you see proportions and relationships, and put them on paper. Thinking of boxes and planes will make light and shade easier. You can draw – it is easier than you think! Materials included in price of workshop.

Cancellation within 14 days of a workshop start date results in the full loss of tuition. Workshops may be canceled by PAAM up to one day in advance due to under-enrollment. In this case, tuition will be refunded in full.
