Class Experience
Ceramic artists have a unique connection to the earth, from the clay we shape to the energy required to fire each piece. In this workshop, you’ll tap into that organic energy by creating your own terracotta planter using simple, sustainable methods. Instead of the traditional two-fire process, we’ll be using a single firing, which saves energy and preserves the natural porous quality of the terracotta. Over time, your planter will develop a beautiful patina, adding character and depth to your piece.
Using handbuilding techniques like slab, coil, and pinch, you’ll shape and texture your planter, adding personal details and vibrant designs. No prior experience is needed—our expert instructors will be there to guide you every step of the way. Projects will be ready for pickup in approximately three weeks. Ages 18 and up.
Reserve your spot today and let your creativity bloom!
