Class Experience
In our afterschool classes, we help children build a strong relationship with the studio space and with the practice of art. Teachers routinely bring in new mediums and new techniques to share with students, however teachers also pay close attention to the artistic choices that a student makes, acknowledge their creative process, and speak to them about their art practice to both enrich and challenge their work. Our classes are designed to engage both your child's visual thinking and critical thinking skills, as they discover their own artistic process, become comfortable with making independent choices in the studio, and build their skills to create increasingly complex works of art. Art mediums include painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, plaster, recycled sculpture and more.
Notes
Please bring your child dressed in clothes and shoes that can get messy.
