House Building (Spring 2025) - Pick-up available from PS 10 + PS 295

In this multi-age workshop, kids will build structures fit for humans, pets, and other creatures (big or small, real or imaginative).

Kids learn how to use planning, engineering, woodworking and critical thinking skills to create their structures. Found objects and other recycled materials will be used to build the structures. 

Pick-up is available from PS 10 and PS 295.

Pick-up is an optional add-on that applies to the full semester. The cost for pick-up is $120 ($15/session). Kids are picked up by a KoKo Teaching Artist at school dismissal time and escorted to the Lot. Kids have snack and playtime until the workshop begins at 3:30PM.

Workshop Dates for Spring 2025: 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27, 6/3, and 6/10 (8 sessions)

• This workshop takes place at the KoKo NYC Lot located at 440 19th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215, between 8th Ave and Prospect Park West
• The workshop will take place fully outdoors
• There is a portapotty onsite for bathroom use
• Kids will use handsaws, battery-operated drills, and other tools in this workshop
