Class Experience
Code with Minecraft! Using the Education edition of Minecraft, kids will learn core coding concepts, including sequencing, variables, functions, loops, and if/then conditionals. Age ranges are approximate. If you are unsure which class would be best for your child, please feel free to reach out to us at info@penguincodingschool.com and we would be happy to help.
To participate in the class, you will need to download Minecraft Education Edition onto the computer that the student will be using for the class. You can use Windows PC, Mac or Chromebook. Make sure it is installed and you are able to open Minecraft.
Students will be given instructions to connect to the Teacher's Minecraft Server once they are logged into the first class.

You will receive an email 30 minutes before class starts with a link to the class and access instructions.

The program of activities provides a great balance between fun and coding concepts of loops, functions, etc. Really great curriculum. Kathleen Wardwell is a FANTASTIC instructor. She provides structure and direction but allows a student to be creative and silly when appropriate (and needed!). Highly appreciate her approach and would love to have her again!

My teacher is very generous and fun to be with. Also, I like how our teacher is invaluable in the app coding.
Improvements:
I don't think that anything should be improved except to put people your age ( for example, 5-7, 8-10, 11-13). But still, I like it!

The age group for kids should be adjusted , kids closer to age grouped together not too far apart to make it socially engaging
