Class Experience
Take time out of your busy scheduled and come relax with a little watercolor painting! This workshop will provide professional step-by-step instruction on painting a beautifully tranquil sunrise over a calm, peaceful lake. Learn a variety of different watercolor techniques and compositional strategies for creating soft transitions of color in the sky and reflections on the water.
Notes
The studio is located in Fairlawn Plaza at 5415 SW 21st St, right next to Eagle Auto Wash.
Class Requirements
- In order to guarantee space is available, students must register in advance before the start of class
- No previous art making skills are required, just a love for art and an eagerness to learn and create!
What you'll learn
- Students will learn how to utilize watercolor paints strategically to create soft transitions of colors in both the sky and reflecting water surface
- Students will gain a better understanding of the importance of working "light to dark" when layering watercolor paints
- Students will gain a better understanding of the importance of working "back to front" when developing a landscape composition
- Students will develop an increased confidence in their art making abilities
Sample Class Format
- Students will be guided step by step through each stage of the painting process. The imporatance of the various techniques and materials will be explained in detail as the painting progresses.
- Students will also be provided numerous opportunities to make their own choices and truly allow the painting to become their own.
Other Things To Know

What To Bring
- All supplies are included in the cost of the class, so students don't need to bring anything! However, if you do have some favorites supplies or a sketchbook, you are certainly welcome to bring them along!

Sully enjoys the classes, he looks forward every week to something new and fun. He loves to bring his art work from home and wear his Mize shirt to get his mize money. I love to see him experience new ways to create art work with new techniques and tools. He is expanding his love of art through the studio!! Thank you for being such a creative influence on him.

Sullivan loved the class, he was ready to go to the next level of art learning and this class was just what he needed. Working at home on art projects was fun but this class went to a new adventure foe him.
