For Kids 4-8 yrs
Get ready for a wildly creative Saturday at our Art Workshop! Anything goes in our imaginative adventure where every idea, big or small, is welcome. Each week brings a new theme to spark your child's creativity and explore professional techniques in Drawing, Painting, Collage, and Mixed Media. We'll even dive into the world of nontraditional and recycled materials, turning old subway cards, toy parts/blocks, containers, or seashells into unique masterpieces. Join us for a day of weird and wacky art fun!
Sample Class Format
- Explore a fun theme each week!
- Master paint techniques, including color mixing and creative brushwork.
- Enhance your canvas with special color effects.
- Learn professional Painting + Drawing styles.
- Experiment with Mixed Media, adding textures like collage, wool, fabric, writing, or street art styles.
- Get creative with nontraditional materials: Recycled + Found Object Art—think papers, magazines, wool, wires, old toy parts, subway cards, and more!
- Work on projects of any size!
- Build unique 3D structures.
- Feel free to bring items from home, like old photos or household items, to incorporate into your artwork.
Other Things To Know
To reschedule a single class, purchase a Rescheduling Ticket 24 hours before class.
To reschedule a full semester, email us for a credit (less a $75 admin fee). No refunds will be provided.
What To Bring
- All art supplies are included in course fees.
- Children are also welocme to bring in things from home that they want to use in their artwork that inspires them.
- We recommend wearing old clothes to create; let's get messy!

Improvements:
I enrolled my kids thinking that the studio would provide some kind of instruction or prompt or special idea with materials but it was really just more of an "open studio" type of situation and while it was pleasant for them, not worth the $100.

Wonderful introduction to basic principles of drawing. Reed synthesized the material in a way easy to understand, and was encouraging and supportive. The atmosphere of the studio is both stimulating and relaxing. I learned so much during the semester.

Our award-winning program includes school break camps for kids and teens. We're nominated as the Best Camp in Brooklyn (Best of Brooklyn Awards) for the third year running! Our camps are offered throughout the year: summer, spring break, winter break, and most public holidays and school recesses.
