Class Experience
This kids hands-on cooking class is a culinary adventure that brings the art of sushi-making to life! In this exciting and interactive session, budding chefs will learn to create three delicious sushi varieties: California roll, vegetable roll, and candy sushi. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, children will explore the basics of sushi preparation, from rice cooking to rolling techniques. They will also discover the importance of fresh ingredients and healthy eating habits. As they get their hands messy, children will develop valuable kitchen skills, teamwork, and creativity. This fun-filled class promises a delightful experience where kids can unleash their culinary talents and enjoy the fruits of their labor!
Learn the basics: Sushi Rice, Building the Rolls, Bamboo Mats, and more.
There will not be any raw fish used in the class.

Price is per person, and unfortunately, Sawyer is limited in its ability to register multiple adults for a single class. So, if you would like to register another adult for this class, you must sign them up as your child. Simply choose "ADD CHILD” and enter your guests name and a birthday. This will allow you to register another participant. Price is per person, so it will add the additional cost for the seat. Or you can have your guest(s) create an account and register themselves separately.

Loved:
I loved the small class size (8 students) and that each person had their own station, equipment and supplies. Instructions were very clearly modeled by the instructor. The instructor was patient, knowledgeable, and responsive to questions. I also loved that I was able to take the class with my son.
Improvements:
I have no improvements to suggest at this time.

Birthday gift for my nephew and he walked out the class and couldn’t stop talking about how much fun it was and all the things he learned. Definitely encouraged his love for cooking and exploring new foods.

There was nothing on my end, everything ran as expected.

Improvements:
Finding a way for amateurs not to use too much butter. My dishes were a little greasy (granted that's on me, but I normally wouldn't eat that much butter, lol!)

Since 2009, Cookology Culinary School has offered cooking class experiences for adults and kids including birthdays, girl scouts badges, summer camps, family classes, and for adults we offer classes, team buildings, private parties, retirement and bridal events.
We get inspiration from the latest cooking trends to bring you truly entertaining classes that fit your budget and encourage you to cook, eat and enjoy fantastic food!
This year we have joined the virtual world, and utilize Webex to host all of our classes. When you purchase a class, you will immediately receive a link to the ingredient lists and recipes, as well as the Webex link.
We have two locations in Northern Virginia, Arlington and Sterling. We will be offering in-person classes when it is safe to reopen.
