Class Experience
In this class, we will explore two-dimensional art processes such as drawing, painting, collage, and printmaking, as well as three-dimensional materials including clay, Sculpey, cardboard, and other forms of assemblage sculpture.
During each class, time will be split between a featured project or goal for the week and personal studio-time for students to explore self-directed projects.
Over the course of the session, we will be writing a collaborative story as a class, and each student will also have the opportunity to create their own narratives and personal stories, all of which will serve as inspiration for the art we will be creating.
Embedded in each lesson plan are basic concepts and vocabulary to reinforce understanding of the basic elements and principles of design.
