Class Experience

In this fun and engaging class, students learn to create characters and dramatic scenarios, practicing valuable public speaking skills like quick-thinking, clarity, expression, and of course – confidence in themselves and their voices! This is a fast-paced class sure to make students laugh and have fun as they learn skills that will serve them all their lives. Experienced instructors and detailed feedback in small classes!

How To Participate
Attend class via Zoom video
This class will be hosted on Zoom video conferencing platform. You will receive an email 30 minutes before class starts with a link to the class and access instructions. We recommend you make sure your device is up to date and meets all system requirements before class.

My son really enjoyed this camp. The teacher was amazing and provided great lessons, exercises and feedback to improve his articulatory skills. I feel his confidence is definitely improved to speak in front of others.

Improvements:
Completely unsuitable for kids to teach public speaking skills. Too much focus on judicial terminology, teacher speaking 90% of the times, confusing young kids with technical terms and barely giving them a chance to practice their speaking skills.

Hello! I'm sorry to hear that. We do offer Public Speaking classes focused on the subjects you desired, but Mock Trial is one of our Debate classes, in which students develop and present speeches in a debate-focused environment, including learning about the requirements and strategies of debates before presenting speeches.

We really liked how the material is taught and the activities provided. It's very engaging for students, even when the class is in online format. My daughter (8 years old) very much enjoyed the class.

About Communication Academy
Communication Academy offers after school enrichment classes and camps all year round to students in grades K-12. We were the first to offer Public Speaking courses in Cupertino, CA and have since expanded to offer Debate, Writing, Reading, and Math. We work in partnership with numerous city recreations to offer our classes and camps throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We believe that communication is the most important skill to have in life. Having great communication skills will lead you to success in whatever you choose to do.
