*Swim Add-On MUST be purchased AFTER PURCHASING the full day Summer STEM option.
We are excited to continue our partnership with Imagine Swimming at our Chelsea location, offering swim lessons at the Tribeca Flagship pool located at 40 Harrison Street, NY, NY 10013 - a 10-15 minute ride from the Corlears School. This is available for full-day campers aged 4-7 of all skill levels.
Swimming sessions are scheduled for Thursday and Friday at 1 pm, lasting 30 minutes. On swim days, children will not participate in outdoor recess. Note that there will be no swimming July 4, which will be refunded.
On the initial day, swimmers will be assessed and grouped by their ability, ensuring personalized instruction. Each group of 3-5 campers will benefit from dedicated instructors, an on-duty lifeguard, an Aquatics Director, and NORY staff, all focused on safety and enhancing the swimming experience.
*Please note, children will be driven to and from the pool in a DOH certified vehicle. The driver will pass all DOH required background checks and teachers will accompany children during transport.

We generally love Nory - the team, activities, and organization. That said, we had a frustrating experience today that I wanted to share about to help improve for others.
Improvements:
At drop-off, we left with the understanding that our son would be able to stay with his best friend as he has in previous Nory camps. We learned when he came home that they were separated, and he was still quite upset by how it was handled. I found this odd given the long chat we had at drop-off with a team member.

kids were stimulated the entire time. Had a great time!
Improvements:
Pickup I was told was a little hectic because we got picked up a few mins earlier. Would also be nice, if possible, to get a text mid day that all is ok.

Improvements:
There was not enough time allotted for lunch and snacks. Sawyer came home starving and hysterical because he only ate a couple strawberries and one bite of grilled cheese at lunch. Similarly, at snack time he only had enough time to take one bite of a granola bar. Other children that we knew in the program today also had a similar experience - please be sure the kids are eating enough!
