April 1st: Painting Birds in the Style of Vermeer

Students can drop-in to a class or sign up for the month's session. Each class will begin a new painting, focusing on new skills each session. All skill levels are welcome!

If you have a painting from a previous session you would like to bring to work on, feel free! We still ask that you are present and respectful during the demonstration, but once work time has begun you may paint as you please. Lucy will be there to give pointers and help during this time.

Brushes and paints are provided, but students will need to bring their own primed canvas. We recommend a size 9x12". Canvases can be purchased in our studio for $10.

About Goose Grease Shop

Goose Grease House is a Brooklyn-based art workspace that offers unique classes, interactive camps and creative experiences by blending art with history and culture. We offer in-studio and virtual classes.

Our studio is dedicated to expanding the minds and skills of young Goose Greasers. With a curriculum designed by husband and wife team, Juan and Anna Donado, budding artists are encouraged to think independently and creatively while immersing themselves in multi-media arts.

Juan holds a PhD in Philosophy and uses his background in languages and the classical cannon to develop robust historical lessons. Anna has a Masters in the Arts and combines many art forms into her mixed media, sculptural approach to learning history.
