Class Experience
This course is for students who have completed or are at a higher level than our "Absolute Beginner to Guitar: Basics & Fundamentals for Classical, Flamenco & Spanish Guitar" course.
It includes 8 weekly 1-hour classes to help you progress steadily. This class is taught online with live, interactive instruction via Skype or Zoom by Elysa and/or Jason Hochman of the Quarantined Quartet, founders of the New York Guitar Academy.
You will continue to build your Flamenco, Classical, and Spanish guitar techniques by refining the techniques taught in the previous course and learning additional ones, including tremolo, triplet rasgueos, and advanced rumba strums. You will learn new chords and scales as you learn new songs and etudes. The new styles introduced in this course include tango, farruca and verdiales.
Additional Features:- Performance opportunities: Showcase your progress at our online biannual student recital.
- Sheet music, tablature, and video: We provide sheet music, tablature, and videos for all music taught.
- Class recordings: All classes are recorded and shared with you to reference as needed.
- Pathway to further learning: Continue to intermediate-to-advanced courses upon completion.

Loved:
The instruction and the positive feedback.
Improvements:
This is not an improvement, but more of a suggestion. Perhaps provide a goal at the beginning of a semester of a song that the students will be working towards would be nice.
