Little Giggles Presents Early Expressions: Infants (includes an hour of open play 10-11AM!)

Early Expressions: Infant focuses on your baby’s first gestures, sign language, and early vocalizations. Learn how to stimulate your baby's earliest communication through singing, reading, and playing. Enhance your bond with baby and meet other caregivers too. Suggested for ages 6-15 months.

The speech therapy class is 30 minutes from 11-11:30am (after 60 minutes of open play 10-11am).

Cost is based in the multi-week session (for the sake of consistency we do ask for a commitment to the session as opposed to dropping in); will prorate.

About the instructor:

Meredith Harrison, M.S. CCC-SLP, is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over a decade of experience in the field. She has evaluated and treated a variety of speech, language, and feeding disorders and has worked with children of all ages in clinical, school, daycare, and home settings. After receiving her master’s degree from New York University in 2013, Meredith started her career in the New York City public schools with Kindergarten through 8th grade students. She relocated to Chicago in 2018 to return to the midwest (originally from Columbia, MO!) and spent over four years in a pediatric clinic and therapeutic preschool where she specialized in expanding the communication skills of autistic 2- to 5-year-olds. There, Meredith cherished working closely with families to provide multidisciplinary, family-centered care. Now, with Little Giggles (her AIM screen name back in 1999!), by providing both individual therapy and group classes, she hopes to reach even more families and communities.

As a mom, Meredith understands the significance of building friendships and community relationships to navigate the challenges of parenting. She also knows what it’s like to want the best care and support for your child. Whether in group classes or individual sessions, she ensures her clients’ parents understand her methods, home practice activities, and expected outcomes. Meredith is committed to providing respectful, kind, and nonjudgmental guidance to foster confidence in your ability to enhance your child's communication, social, and play development.

Meredith, along with her husband and two daughters, lives in Lakeview, where they enjoy lakefront bike rides and year-round ice cream.
