Mixed Media Magic

Students explore materials both traditional and upcycled as they mix it up with charcoal, markers, found objects, paints, wood, wire, clay, cardboard, etc to form both 2-D and 3-D artworks.  This class offers both project-based and open-choice approaches to art.  With projects, there will be a description and an instructor-led demo before students create their own unique interpretations of the assignment. For the open choice option, we offer a table or 2 with multiple materials on hand for students to assemble their own improvisational creations. Both approaches allow students to build confidence as they acquire new skills and hone existing ones while learning alternative ways to problem solve and create.
