Class Experience
Our Stop Morion Animation Camp runs on the same dates as our Art Camps offered for Kids 7-15
Animator campers work individually on their own projects and explore a variety of materials to create stop-motion objects, set, figures + props using paper, clay, drawings, Lego, and other materials. Campers learn how to set their characters in cool scenes + storytelling techniques. Add cool themes, titles, sound effects + special effects to give your movies that unique touch.
Please Note Animation Camps require all students to bring the following:

An iPad with a working back camera is required for this camp. -
An appropriate charger for your device. -
We do NOT supply tablets + children will not be able to share because they will be working on their own individual project. Siblings who are participating will need their own device to complete their own film projects. -
Please download the "Stop Motion Studios" app ($5.99) to your device prior to Camp start time, as we will be working off this App.

What To Bring
- All Animation Campers must bring an iPad with a working back camera + an appropriate charger for their device.
- We do NOT supply tablets + children will not be able to share because they will be working on their own individual project. Siblings who are participating will need their own device to complete their own film projects.
- Please download the "Stop Motion Studios" app ($5.99) to your device prior to Camp start time, as we will be working off this App. The FREE APP will NOT WORK as it has no green screen capability.
- Please bring a packed NUT-FREE lunch.
- A personal water bottle with your name marked on it
- Lunch will be at 12pm-1pm + is supervised in nearby Brooklyn Bridge park- weather permitting of course.
- Dress for Mess
- Please note any Teen Campers partcipating in our Animation Camp are NOT allowed to wander off during lunch or breaks + must stay in their pod.

The theme of the class was great.
Improvements:
While the teacher meant well, it sounds like one student ruined the class for everyone. We do not think you should punish the class for the poor behavior of one individual.

Improvements:
The instructor did not provide any insight. It was just reviewing the stop motion app at the beginning and then watching students without any engagement. There was only two students. Even having students present their animations would’ve been better than having them do their own thing for 7 hours. They didn’t foster collaboration. It just seems like a place for babysitting and even babysitting would’ve been better as they would’ve at least had conversation.

Excellent class and projects. My daughter had a great time and really liked the teachers.
Improvements:
Based on what my daughter said there wasn’t a ton of room for creativity- she felt like she had to stick to the way the teacher said to do the projects.
