Class Experience
Join our dynamic group exercise and movement class designed specifically for teens and young adults with significant developmental disabilities. Whether participating from a wheelchair or chair, our inclusive sessions prioritize engagement and participation in exercise as well as imitation of motor skills. Participants can be in person or online for the group. Utilizing The Movement Program, we work on movement to rhythm and music with the movement patterns building from one week to the next. Activities are modified to accomodate a wide range of physical abilites. Additional movement-oriented activities focus on balance and using both sides of the body and may include ball skills and other reaching activities. Movement activities are tailored to individual needs and group preferences in a supportive environment where every participant can thrive, regardless of ability level.
