Class Experience
Let Off Some STEAM is a STEM-based class designed to ignite curiosity and inspire a love for science, technology, engineering, and robotics among students. This dynamic session will provide an immersive experience in weekly classes that engage students in computer science, science, robotics, creative technologies, and engineering, offering a perfect blend of learning and fun!
Session Highlights:
-
Computer Science: Dive into coding, app development, and digital literacy. -
Science: Explore hands-on experiments and scientific principles. -
Robotics: Build and program robots to solve real-world problems. -
Creative Technologies: Engage in 3D print & design, innovate wearable tech, and become immersed in virtual and augmented reality programming. -
Engineering: Tackle engineering challenges and construct innovative solutions.
Designed for children ages 3 to 12, our Let Off Some STEAM sessions are weekly drop-in STEM classes, each with a unique theme that will spark your child's curiosity and passion for discovery. Every week, we dive into a new STEM topic, offering hands-on lessons that are both educational and entertaining.
For instance, during our ScienceFest, your child will explore the wonders of science through exciting experiments and activities in basic chemistry, physics, and biology. They'll get to mix their own chemical solutions, learn about the forces that govern our world, and even explore the diversity of life through fun, interactive lessons.
Each class is 1 hour long, carefully crafted to keep young minds engaged and excited. Our goal is to help children build a positive STEM identity, where they can see themselves as capable and confident in their ability to succeed in STEM fields.
Come and join us for a thrilling adventure in STEM! Whether your child is already passionate about science and technology or just starting to explore, our Let Off Some STEAM sessions are a fantastic way to learn, play, and grow.

Sample Class Format
- Each class is segmented by grade bands: (a) PreK-5, (b) ages 6-9, (c) ages 10-12.
- Each class is 1 hour, and you may register your child for 1 hour, or the full 3 hours
- Each class will be centered in a particular STEM discipline, where our STEM teachers will impart knowledge to introduce the lesson, then engage the students in a hands-on project that enables students to learn by doing, while at the same time creating a product to take home with them.
- We don't lecture, but instead provide a learning atmosphere that enables students to explore, tinker, and be guided by our STEM Teachers to complete their tasks in the lesson.
