Class Experience
iCAMP’s program has the familiar format and feel of summer camp, but is designed to genuinely teach campers. Each day, campers rotate between workshops led by teachers who are specialists in their topics. Throughout the week campers build upon what they learn each day to build increasingly more sophisticated projects.
Of course, it is summer, so we take multiple trips to the park each day to learn about nature, get some fresh air, and play summer camp games!
Adds-ons:
- Early drop-off (8:15am)
- Extended day (5:00pm)*
- Lunch + Snack
The daily schedule includes:
- Software technology (e.g. coding or video game design)
- Hardware technology (e.g. 3D printing or robotics)
- Studio and digital art
- Natural science
- Science experiments and engineering challenges
- Summer camp games
- Passion Projects
- Club time
*There will need to be a minimum of 4 campers enrolled in the extended day option for it to run on any given day
**Cut off for ordering lunch is the Thursday before the week of enrollment

Improvements:
Our 12 year old was placed in a group with primarily 8 and 9 year olds. We would have liked to have been made aware of the low number of children his age prior to beginning the week as this is not an appropriate group for him.

Loved:
Lyra always seems to be excited to tell us about class.
Improvements:
Include lessons either after class or prior to class so we are aware of what the kids are doing. Today she said you did a volcano that erupted and filled all the classrooms with lava, which I assume is mostly false. :-)
