Class Experience
In this course we will give learners guidance on practicing the art of Improv scene work. Improv requires confidence, creativity and strong public speaking skills. My goal is to help build all three of these in a fun, welcoming and engaging environment.
We will start off the class with a quick overview, and warm up exercises.
This course includes a heavy emphasis on thinking outside the box to create a compelling, interesting scene work. Every learner will be given opportunities throughout the class to participate. This is a Beginner class, so there will not be any critiques. Instead, we are working to build up confidence in a field that can often be intimidating.
Learners will leave the class with a beginner level knowledge of:
- What makes a good improve scene.
- How to select and enhance your natural impulses for great scene work.
- How to take cues from the situation and scene partners to enhance the scene.
