In this earth-friendly week little artists will create big masterpieces using a wide array of upcycled materials. Students will learn from contemporary artists and designers that utilize reclaimed supplies and sustainable practices. Creative thinking skills will be put to the test as they gather furniture and material samples from neighboring design showrooms to save them from landfills and rethink into something wonderful. From recyclable wearable to cardboard creatures and yarn weavings, young upcyclers will create with colorful cast-offs to make something new! 

The program schedule offers:

• Extended Day add on option from 1:30–3pm
• Rotating design themes led by teaching artists + professional educators
• Outdoor art-making or field trips to nearby studios + galleries (location dependent)

Artwork Pickup Policy:  We encourage Minni participants to take artwork home with them when they leave their activities, unless artwork needs to dry and cannot be transported. All artwork not picked up within two weeks of after the activity will be recycled.
