Cancellations and Rescheduling:

What to Wear and Bring:
- Programs are 100% outside and continue in all weather, please dress appropriately for the season (layers are best) and wear boots or heavy sneakers that can get muddy.
- Please apply bug spray AT HOME, chemical bug spray is not allowed on the farm as we are certified organic.
- Don't forget sunscreen and sunhats in the spring/summer.
- Dress in layers on cooler days with winter hats and gloves.
- Reusable water bottle.
Getting to the farm:
- School buses are NOT permitted to drive down our long, narrow driveway. Students must disembark at the top of our driveway on Ailinger Drive. Buses must find a place to park off-site.
- Parent chaperones should park on Farm Hill Road which is a very short walk from the Farm.
Weather:
-Field trips take place rain or shine. We do have an indoor space we can use in the case of adverse weather. We always recommend dressing for the weather and being outside for the duration of the field trip.
-In the event of extreme weather (e.g. a snow day that closes schools, an emergency declared by the Town or Commonwealth), we will postpone your event.
Student Supervision:
- You and your designated chaperones are responsible for all student supervision and ensuring the children are adhering to our farm rules - this protects both your students and our livestock. We allow up to 4 teachers/chaperones free of charge per class/~20 students.
- This is a working farm, please be respectful of your surroundings and of the hardworking staff, please limit cell phone use, music and disruptive behavior.
Parking is limited on the farm, please carpool if you can.
- Please remind parents to carry out a tick check after students visit the farm.
Trash Removal:
-If you are staying at the farm for snack or lunch, please ensure students pick up and dispose of all trash.
-Do not feed leftover food to our animals, and do not permit your students to do so. This poses a significant risk to the animals’ health.
