Class Experience
Taught using games and interactive activities, this class introduces children to the most essential signs to get started with American Sign Language. Students will emerge from this class with a new way of expressing themselves, a better understanding of Deaf culture, and a helpful reference book to keep at home.

Julia T.
Julia Terra-Salomão recently graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in education studies and Portuguese & Brazilian studies. Growing up in central Massachusetts in a Portuguese household, her passion for language learning blossomed through her experience learning Portuguese as a heritage speaker. After learning ASL at college and becoming a teaching assistant, Julia knew she wanted to help share this love of languages with others! In her free time, she loves to crochet, make art, and read.
