

An improv workshop is a great activity for a birthday party! The games are easy enough for everyone to get involved and are a LOT of fun. During the 50 minute workshop, the party guests learn about improv through playing games that inspire a lot of silliness and shenanigans. Very quickly into the workshop the kids are getting up in front of each other and cracking each other up. It’s a real hoot!

Age recommendation is for 3rd graders and up.
Because improv works best with focus and collaboration, 3rd graders and up are the best fit for our workshops.
Pricing:
The cost for a 50 minute workshop for up to 12 participants is $295.
13-15 participants: $325.
16-18 participants: $385.
18-20 participants: $415.
21-25 participants is $445.
Venue Size for Younger Participants (3rd–5th Grade):
For workshops with more than 6 kids, we need at least 460 sq ft of open, unobstructed space. Ideal locations include a large yard/field or an indoor event space like a community center room, studio, or gym. Basements are usually too small because younger kids need plenty of room for movement-heavy games. Space covered by furniture doesn’t count toward the minimum.
Size Guide:
Meets minimum: 20′×23′, 22′×21′, 18′×26′
Too small: 20′×20′, 16′×25′
Chairs:
Participants will need chairs (or a comfortable spot on the floor) to sit during parts of the workshop. In addition to this seating, please provide at least four extra chairs for improv games. The facilitator will set everything up before the workshop begins.
Space rental:
If you’d like us to secure a venue, we can rent space at St. Andrew and Holy Communion Church (South Orange, NJ) on your behalf for $60-$70/hour depending on the space; tables and chairs are included. (Subject to availability; rental cost is added to your invoice.)
Travel fee:
If the event takes place beyond Maplewood or South Orange, there is a $1 per minute of travel charge based on what is predicted by Google Maps.
Rush Booking Fees:
To ensure we can staff and prepare your workshop properly, the following rush fees apply:
Booked 21–28 days before the event: +$25
Booked 14–20 days before the event: +$50
Booked 7–13 days before the event: +$75
We are unable to accommodate bookings within 7 days of the event.
Holiday Dates:
A $75 holiday fee applies to events booked on holidays, holiday weekends, and Halloween weekend. We may be closed on major holidays.
Terms of Payment:
• A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to hold the date and will be applied to the overall amount.
• The payment request for the balance will be sent a week before the event.
• CANCELLATION POLICY: Up to 1 week before the event, the cancellation fee is 20% of the total amount. Within a week of the event, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total amount. There is no refund if the event is canceled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time.
