The Spring SHSAT Prep course is seven sessions and provides an in-depth overview of the math, verbal, and grammar content tested on the SHAT. Students will learn strategies specific to each section of the test, and will practice every question type to master the skills and content needed to succeed on the SHSAT. This course is appropriate for students who are just beginning to prepare as well as for those who took our winter course. Our Spring SHSAT prep course is ideal for students who are planning to transition to private tutoring in the summer or fall. 

We begin the course with a diagnostic mini-test for both the math and verbal sections of the test (the mini-assessment is for instructional use only, we do not provide score reports). Once we have scored the tests, we will structure each class according to the needs of the group. Homework is assigned after each lesson to make use of the students' time outside of class, and to allow students the opportunity to practice the strategies and skills that they have learned in class. At the conclusion of the course, we offer a practice test and will return a detailed score report so that families may use the results to determine next steps in their student’s prep process.

The materials fee is a comprehensive fee which includes the cost of the test prep book, proctoring practice tests, scoring/grading practice tests, preparing the detailed score reports, as well as access to online resources.
