About the Audition Process... Students are selected to join the ENCORE Teen cast through an audition process and must submit self-tape videos (recorded at home) to be considered. A $35 non-refundable audition fee is required at registration.

Not all students who audition will be selected to join the cast. Students selected to be in the cast will receive instructions to seperatley register for the production and pay tuition: 4 payments of $206.25 (Total of $825). Includes Performance & Costume Fee of $75. Does not include the Acting & Leadership Class required for name roles (Total of $195).

Students auditioning are NOT guaranteed a spot in the cast. There are limited spots available.

Feedback and Growth: Students who audition but are not selected will receive recommendations (not mandatory) for classes to help them build skills and confidence.

Audition Deadline: Audition videos to be considered for the cast are due by Friday, January 10th by 9pm. Instructions to upload videos will be provided after registration.

Role Auditions: If selected for the company (notified by 1/14), you will audition in-person at call backs for specific roles on either 1/17 in the evening.

Submission Requirements. Students must submit four videos:

Singing: Perform a 30-second cut (16 bars) of a song of your choice in the style of the musical, The Wizard of OZ. Song selection is up to you.
Monologue: Perform a 30-second memorized monologue. Monologue provided after audition registration.
Dance Combo: Perform a 30-second dance combination. Choreography video provided after auditon registration.
Interview: Provide a 30-second response to a question. Questions provided after audition registration.

This format ensures that only the most committed students are cast, while also supporting those who are still developing their skills.

St. Pete MAD’s unique Acting and Leadership Program offers three tailored experiences: Debut for 6-9 year olds, Bravo for 8-13 year olds, and Encore for 13-17 year olds. St. Pete MAD's Teaching Theater and Family Stage is a unique, 4,800 sq ft performing arts space nestled in the heart of historic Gulfport, Florida. Our facility, a beautifully renovated former church, is now a vibrant hub for young performers. It features a dance studio, two intimate classrooms, versatile rehearsal space, and our pride – a fully-equipped theater venue that seats 175. This allows our students the invaluable experience of rehearsing and performing on a professional stage.

Situated at 5313 27th Ave S, just off I-275, we're in a safe, family-friendly neighborhood next to a scenic park, offering both on-site and street parking for your convenience.
