Class Experience

Join us for a fun filled week with different creative projects each day. Sign up by the day! Or for the whole week!

Monday: Mini Magic Treehouse

Use your architecture skills to design a miniature treehouse to place in a bell jar. These cute creations are just a taster for our Magic Treehouse Architecture camp!

Tuesday: Clay Charm Bar

We’ll be looking at working craft artists polymer clay charms, designing and sculpting our own creations to create a set! Will yours be a pendant and earrings? A zipper pull and keychain? Pins for your favorite jacket? A set of friendship bracelets? So many possibilities!

Wednesday: Wicked Wands

Let’s put on our witches hats and fly into this magical day. Design, sculpt, and engineer your own light up wand to make some magic!

Thursday: Precious Pet Portraits

Do you love your pet?! Lets paint a portrait of them! If you don’t have a pet, we’ll paint a portrait of a pet you love. (When registering for this camp, we’ll email you and ask for a picture of your pet to use in camp.)

Friday: Sun Print Tote Bags

For fashion and photography lovers. We’ll use our artist eyes to stage and take photographs, then use our photos for beautiful blue cyanotypes (sun prints) on tote bags. One of Jenson's personal favorites!

Sample Class Format

  • We open our day with the main art activity introducing your child to art history, a new technique, and a chance for us as a community to learn together. We then take a snack break and go outside for a short time. The 2nd half of camp is generally open-ended, freechoice, activities that vary with new art materials set out daily.
  • Studio 4 Art is unique in its teaching approach to all art projects and introduction to art materials and follows Studio 4 Art pedagogy. Our curriculum is progressive, child-initiated, and thought-provoking. Studio 4 Art creates and writes all curriculum, training our teachers on our philosophies and procedures. How to teach the whole child and honor each as the individuals they are is a pretty special way of teaching. We provide growth in children through honoring ideas, executing dream designs, guidance through questions to engage problem-solving, build creative thought processes through mistake-making, and celebrate collaboration.
