Shakespeare’s language is beautiful, intricate, and not always easy, but aways a rewarding challenge for the actor. In this class you’ll work on scenes, monologues, and perhaps a poem or two as you gain facility with Shakespeare’s language and learn how to make the words your own on stage. By the end of the week you’ll understand Shakespeare’s basic poetic structure, learn how to break down a text in order to properly rehearse it, and gain experience speaking and acting some of the English language’s most beautiful verse. Concludes with a performance for families and friends.
Performance on Friday at 3:00pm.
Students should be entering 6th-12th grade starting fall 2025.
If a student withdraws before the first day of class, all tuition paid will be refunded minus the $25 non-refundable deposit.
