Writers get their inspiration from many different places, and find ways to generate ideas for their writing in many different ways. In this class we’ll start out on our feet, with improv games and exercises, and use the ideas we’ve improvised as a starting point for writing scenes for the stage. We’ll generate ideas on our feet, sit down and write, workshop ideas on our feet, write some more, and wind up with fodder for a final performance of each other’s work on Friday. These scenes may be shorter than those in our other playwriting class since this class may involve less time with pen (or laptop?) in hand.
Performance on Friday at 3:00pm.
Students should be entering 7th-12th grade starting fall 2025.
If a student withdraws before the first day of class, all tuition paid will be refunded minus the $25 non-refundable deposit.
