Class Experience
This Childbirth Class is filled with all of the information you'll need to understand and fully prepare for your upcoming birth. Taught in a well-rounded, easy-to-understand and engaging way, this class is not only educational but also a good time among friends! The birth space is sacred and you should have full control over what that space looks and feels like at all times. The way to have that control is to understand exactly what’s going on in labor and be able to make fully informed decisions along the way. This class will prepare you and your birth partner to do so! (Class price is per couple.)

- Physiology of Birth: Signs of Early Labor, Braxton Hicks vs. True Labor Contractions, Stages & Phases of Labor, Physical Signs of Labor Progression
- Comfort Measures: Movement & Positioning, Massage Techniques, Relaxation Techniques, Partner Support Guidance
- Medical Interventions: Epidurals & Other Pain Management, Medical Inductions, Cesarean Section, Medications in Birth, Other Possible Medical Interventions
- Birth Preferences: Birth Options, Rights, & Preferences, Birth Plans, Curating Your Birth Team, Birth Doulas, Choosing Your Birth Place & Care Providers

Denise C.
Denise Curtis is a CAPPA Certified Labor & Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, and HypnoBirthing® Certified Educator in the Los Angeles area. Her approach is based on current scientific evidence, and is friendly and non-judgmental. She embraces all different birth choices that families make based on cultural, religious, and personal backgrounds and will offer information and guidance to empower expectant parents.
