Class Experience

This beginner course covers the fundamentals of screen printing through hands-on practice and theory. Students will learn key techniques, materials, and equipment to create their own prints.

Meet your Instructor

Julia L.

Julia LaChica is a queer, Oakland based multidisciplinary visual artist. She was born and raised in San Francisco and received her BFA from the California College of the Arts. LaChica's artistic practice revolves around the exploration of complex themes such as migration, mourning, and the concept of belonging. Through the use of drips, marks, and scratches, she adds layers of meaning to her compositions, inviting viewers to engage with the stories embedded within.
