Class Experience

Embark on an adventure with our Nature Explorers class, where children aged 18 months to 5 years discover the wonders of the natural world through interactive and immersive outdoor activities. This program is designed to nurture a deep connection with nature while promoting physical, cognitive, and social development.


Class Experience:

Nature Explorers offers a dynamic and hands-on learning environment where children engage with nature directly. Each session is filled with activities that encourage exploratory learning and foster a sense of curiosity and respect for the environment. Our classes include guided nature walks, creative environmental art projects, and collaborative group activities that make every outing an adventure.


Subject Matter:

The curriculum is rich and varied, focusing on:



  • Connecting Children with Nature: learning to be in-tuned with nature and using all 5 senses

  • Nature Play: playing with the earth and natural materials

  • Wildlife Identification: Learning to recognize local wildlife and understand their habitats.

  • Ecological Impact: Exploring the impact of natural and human-made changes on local ecosystems.

  • Conservation Practices: Teaching sustainable practices that children can implement to help protect their environment.

  • Natural Phenomena: Investigating weather patterns, seasonal changes, and their effects on the local area.

Sample Class Format

  • Arrival and Open Play: A time for free exploration as everyone gathers.
  • Circle Time: We come together for songs & stories that introduce the day's theme.
  • Main Activity: Engage in a hands-on activity related to the theme, from crafting magical potions to tracking animal prints.
  • Nature Walk/Hike: Embark on a guided walk or hike to further explore the natural environment, enhancing the day’s learning theme.
  • Wrap Up/Reflection Time: Conclude the session with a time for reflection, discussing what was learned and sharing experiences.
  • Goodbye Song: We end each class with a cheerful goodbye song, reinforcing the day’s experiences and saying farewell until next time.

During sessions, we ask parents to engage with their children through guided activities, offer encouragement for exploration, and model respectful and curious interactions with the natural environment. This collaborative approach helps deepen the learning experience and fosters a family-wide appreciation for the outdoors.

  • Water Bottle: Refillable and durable.
